Outback Fishing

Hidden Wrecks and Florida Bay Waters

The Middle Keys offers the best Bay and Gulf Fishing available in the Keys.  It’s just a short run to the banks and then the open Florida Bay which is full of Holes, Natural Ledges, Boat Wrecks, and Artificial Reefs. They are scattered throughout the Bay from 5 to 15 miles.

As you venture further out into the Gulf of Mexico, you will find larger Shipwrecks and Blue Holes.  These areas are loaded with Cobia, Permit, Snapper, Grouper, Barracuda and Sharks.

Florida Bay and Gulf Wreck fishing provides fast action and is a perfect choice for the family as well as the experienced Angler.  When you anchor on one of these spots and start a chum line, you will see the fish start feeding – right behind the boat, just waiting for your offering. While fishing, keep a watch for Turtles and Dolphin (I mean the Flipper kind). They are always around the wrecks.  On days when it is too rough to fish Offshore or on the Reef, the Bay will be comfortable, even in a stiff breeze. No seasickness problem here!

Bay and Gulf Wrecks are a lot of fun and make for a Great Family Outing in the calm waters of the Florida Bay and Gulf of Mexico.

Junior Anglers are always welcome and they might get a world record. Check out the International Game Fish Association, Junior Angler World Record Program.
