The Silver
King is truly the most sought after game fish in the Florida Keys.
Their spectacular leaps, strong runs and incredible endurance will
test your angling skills. Tarpon are found in Keys waters year
round, but the main migration show up around the bridges and inshore
channels in early MARCH to JUNE. The average Tarpon is over 100
pounds but in the past years, we've caught 7ft. fish weighing over
200lbs. on 20 pound spinner gear. The time fighting a Tarpon will
range from 30 minutes to over 2 hours. This is why I call them
(Buttkickus Fishus).
Tarpon fishing
is the best chance for a novice angler to catch a large fish. In the
past, numerous Junior Anglers have caught Tarpon over 100lbs. with
Capt. Lee. Live bait trips in the afternoon offer anglers the best
chance to do battle with Large Silver Kings and enjoy a fabulous
Florida Keys Sunset.
